The crochet valance hanging across the recess wall is handmade by my aunt. My mum and her sisters knitted and crocheted so much in the past, and I happily reap the fruits of their labour - never need to buy a sweater in my life. But sadly, I don't seem to have inherited their dexterity, the scarf I've been working on since last year (!) is still half done.
The bird cards I framed came from an educational set scored on ebay. The curtains are from an old neighbour.
Here are some prized finds - the silk painting in a tapestry frame found in an antiques store in Bugis, and the British Museum of Natural History bird hook from another antiques store in Blue Mountains, Australia. The floral print on the wall is not wallpaper, but fabric I got from Spotlight.
The treasured tea set is from Royal Albert, I am still desperately hunting for the perfect teapot though!
Behind the door hangs an assortment of scarves, jackets, vests, totes, belts...and a feather duster.
Another beloved find from my last trip to Australia - a framed papercut in gorgeous autumnal colours.
The art wall - a mix of pictures (old and new), vintage finds, handmade crafts from family and friends, my own drawings, and etsy prints.
Books, magazines, bags and other random stuff get stashed here. Plus I'm trying to cultivate a garden on my window sill!
Today is gonna be the day
You hear some body say
We need you right away.
No time for tea or lemonade.
Some moments of the day
We're only half awake.
