Traveling along the winding Caves Road to get to Lake Cave, which was fascinating of course. Stalactites, stalagmites, erosion, dolines - the only time geography is interesting is when you get to see it for real as opposed to memorizing textbooks. Next, we visited a vineyard and just hung around. Harvest season was over so no tour for us. Nevertheless, there were spectacular views. They also had a big gallery for random visitors like us.
Morning at our cottage (Pixie Mops!), one of the Wyadup Brook Cottages, which was gorgeous with lots of exposed beams and very cozy. Stacy and I snagged the room with the balcony! We trooped out bright and early to the adjoining farm and were delighted to meet and feed the farm animals.
As we continue along the freeway towards Wyadup where we'll be staying, we took all too many wrong turns, but of course, everyone knows those are the best things.
We had a pit stop at Busselton and spent an afternoon frolicking up and down its jetty (the longest in the southern hemisphere).
